Works are in full flow on site at the Firepool regeneration project for Acorn Property Group. The project is part of the greater regeneration of the old cattle market area in Taunton. The Development, which will be known as Water’s Edge, comprises 45 new-build 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, all with balconies or terraces overlooking the river Tone, together with four family town houses. The project has a 61 week programme and our site team includes Mark Linney, Peter Jones, John Ramsay and Nick Townsend. The site, which is located opposite the entrance to the Somerset County Cricket Ground, and was used as occasional parking by cricket fans, is now clearly identified by the 100ft tall Bray and Slaughter tower crane that will be used to construct the new 6 storey apartment building. The tower crane will remain a local landmark until early in the new year when the concrete frame is completed and the fitting out of the high specification apartments begins.
