Scope of work:
A large alterations and refurbishment project covering a variety of works to various Blocks at UWE. Works included the conversion of office space to teaching facilities, the demolition of rooms to create learning zones, the refurbishment of circulation routes, toilets, reception areas, lobbies and  the installation of numerous IDesks.

This project included the upgrade of teaching facilities to modern, open-plan spaces with extensive audio-visual installations. The premise was to create a number of Street Learning Zones – areas where students can relax, study and socialise.

B&S installed a number of IDesks to enable students to have computer access on the move. These IDesk Pods are located within the circulation routes so that students have easy access to IT facilities wherever they are on campus.

The Cribs Lounge was renovated to include the installation of a Stretch Ceiling to add a calming influence to the socialising space.

Works also included the refurbishment of O & J toilet blocks within a very short timeframe and the refurbishment of five main circulation routes.
