Today Bray & Slaughter’s Marketing team Helen and Zoe were back at Orchard School in Bristol for a careers fair.
With our stand ready and set up for 8:30am the sound of the bell took the team right back to their school days.
Right on schedule, 9:15 am marked the arrival of the first group from Year 7 ready to take on the task ahead. Throughout the day B&S engaged with learners and their teachers from years 7 through to 11 and interacted with so many confident and genuinely interested young people looking for guidance in what career paths they could potentially take.
There were a few familiar faces on the day and our Digital Marketing Apprentice Zoe was recognised by a student who remembered her from the speed networking event attended previously.
Bray & Slaughter were next to stands belonging to both Creative Access College and Bristol Rovers Academy, and there was also representation from UK Borderforce who spoke candidly of some jaw dropping discoveries. Not only are these events great for learners, they are also wonderful for networking and for learning about other local employers from different sectors, all in the room with the same goal and passion for recruiting apprentices.
We hope that the young people we met took a lot away from the day which will support them when they commence their journey in whatever they wish to do Post-16.
