Matthew Tree Donation

Christmas is for giving and every year we at Bray & Slaughter try to help locally in any way that we can. This year is no different, in fact, it is even more important that we support communities and vulnerable families as they try and navigate their way through the cost of living crisis.

So, our collaboration with the The Matthew Tree Project has continued for the 6th consecutive year whilst we support vulnerable families with our Christmas Food Collection.

Last year we collected a whopping 152kg of food which is immense, however this year we handed over 334.42kgs, an outstanding contribution that will benefit so many families in the South Bristol area. A massive thank you to everyone who contributed including employees and their amazing families who literally made the collection a huge success.

The collection was received well by the Matthew Tree Project who were completely overwhelmed by the amount of food and hygiene material collected.

Michelle Goodway – Chief Operating Officer from the Matthew Tree Project said: “Thank you so much for your generosity, we cannot believe what a huge amount all of you at B&S have collected, it will literally help so many families in the local area. Your food donations and Christmas treats will make such a difference to our clients over Christmas and into next year.

Michelle also commented: “As I’m writing this, we have a client here, a single mum of 3 and they have just said.........

“Being able to feed the family over Christmas without the stress of worrying there’s no food in the house means so much, and takes away the anxiety and stress of choosing between eating or heating, I can’t thank you enough”.
