Works are due to commence on the new Linac 2 project for the RUH in Bath. The Linear Accelerator (LINAC) is a multi-million pound machine which generates energy for external beam radiation treatments for cancer and will be installed by the Trust following the completion of the works. The project includes the stripping out of the existing “bunker” and associated control area to leave a shell ready for the fit-out works, as well as works to existing adjacent workshop areas and stores and upgrades to the fixtures, fittings and M&E services. The project will be managed by Gary Lott and Mike De Courcy.
