10th March 2024

Proud moment for the team!

A proud moment for our team, who were in attendance to witness the opening of Castle Mead Primary Schools SEN extension. A project which saw us work through RIBA design stages 1-5 to deliver a highly sustainable, nzc in operation classroom block, providing a high quality teaching and learning space for upto 60 pupils.

To mark the occasion the school arranged for an official opening by the Mayor of Trowbridge Council, Councillor Stephen Cooper. It was a delight to see the Year 8 pupils in attendance and engaged in the opening ceremony with the cutting of the ribbon. Letters from the pupils were handed to the Mayor, before insertion into a time capsule, offering a fantastic opportunity for pupils from the year 3000 to get a glimpse of what life was like in 2024! It is also a reminder of the hard work and dedication that went into this project and the impact it will have on the school community.

We hope you enjoy your new facility!
