Conversion and refurbishment of an existing commercial office into teaching space for Cardiff University.
The project comprised of the conversion of an existing office to teaching space at the National Software Academy for Cardiff University. Located within a busy city centre environment, the building was 'live' throughout the construction phase and included the refurbishment of the 3 upper floors incorporating works to the shared main entrance on the ground floor.
Included within the works was a full strip out of the existing facilities, alterations and additions to the existing fire alarm system, small power, lighting and ventilation, enhancing of the existing raised access floor and fire stopping below, new partitions with glazed screens and doors with open plan areas, new floor coverings, a new reception desk and internal storage.
