Value:
£600k
Sector:
Programme:
12 Weeks
Scope of work:
Reconfiguration and upgrade of the 1st & 2nd Floor areas. The aim was to implement the “Learning Street” objectives of the University of Bristol Information Services.

We were required to work to a defined programme and to maintain a library service during the refurbishment. Through diligent planning and careful phasing we were able to uplift and lay new high quality carpet tiles, replace ceilings and decorate without the necessity of dismantling large shelving systems.

Our innovative and proactive approach ensured that the library service remained unaffected, as any disruptive works were programmed and completed out of hours. Our attention to effective phasing and the use of stringent dust and debris barriers maintained a clean and dust free environment throughout the course of the works. The library opened prior to the start of the undergraduate term in September 2011.
